Vocational Training (Intermediate Level) in Emergency Healthcare (Blended Mode)

The Emergency Healthcare programme prepares you to respond safely and effectively in urgent situations: from pre-hospital care to patient transport and coordination in emergency environments.

General information

  • Total hours: 2,000 hours (1,485 hours theory and practice + 515 hours work placement)
  • Qualification: Emergency Healthcare Technician – Official online qualification from the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya)
  • Duration: 2 academic years

  • Emergency Healthcare: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS/mobile ICU) units from SEM contractors
  • Non-Urgent Medical Transport (NUT): scheduled patient transfers, hospital discharges and healthcare logistics
  • Healthcare logistics in disasters: organisation and deployment of field hospitals and resources in large-scale emergencies

Coordination and telecare

  • Coordination centre operator (112 / 061)

Entry requirements

  • Compulsory Secondary Education certificate (ESO)
  • Intermediate level access course
  • Technician qualification or equivalent
  • Second year of BUP completed
  • Other equivalent studies
  • University entrance exam for over 25s
  • Completion of PQPI programme
  • Access exam to higher vocational training

If you do not meet any of these requirements, you must pass an entrance exam. You must be at least 17 years old in the year of the exam.
